This is our go-to sock pattern for beginners and sock knitters of all skill levels. The directions are clear, and you’ll have a multitude of choices including sizes, yarn weights, cuff and leg options, and even colored toes and heels. You’ll use this pattern for years to come. Sizes: Baby (Child’s S, Child’s M, Women’s, Men’s), Child’s S fits childrens shoe size 4-9, Child’s M fits childrens shoe size 10-3, for Child’s L use Women’s sizing
Yarn: This pattern offers a lot of versatility because all of the styles can be created in fingering, sport or worsted weight yarn
Fingering: for solid color socks – 150 (225, 275, 350, 425) yards; for 2 color socks – 120 (185, 225, 275, 325) yards of main color (MC) and 30 (40, 50, 75, 100) yards of contrasting color (CC)
Sport: for solid color socks – 125 (175, 225, 300, 350) yards; for 2 color socks – 100 (140, 180, 250, 275) yards MC and 25 (35, 45, 50, 75) yards CC
Worsted: for solid color socks – 100 (150, 175, 250, 300) yards; for 2 color socks – 80 (120, 135, 200, 235) yards MC and 20 (30, 40, 50, 65) yards CC
