Tufa Cowl
Resembling its namesake soft porous limestone, Tufa is a light yet warm fiber mix of dense rhythmic textures with airy spaces in between. This slightly tapered cowl uses two yarns, a 100% Merino fingering-weight and a 60% Mohair/40% Silk lace-weight, both hand-dyed in the same color. Given that these fibers take the dye a little bit differently, there’s a subtle tonal quality when the two skeins are combined into one cowl.
Kit includes:
- one 50 g skein of Urth 16 Fingering hand-dyed, fingering-weight, 100% merino, 220 yds.
- one 50 g skein of Urth Bonmoher hand-dyed, lace-weight, 60% kid mohair, 40% silk, 262 yds.
- Tufa Cowl Pattern
- Needle stoppers
- Tapestry needle
In addition, you’ll need a US 8, 24″ circular needle which is not included, but can be purchased at Mother of Purl.
