Soft Silk
Soft Silk is a soft and rustic bourette silk, also known as raw silk, that has a matte finish and noils, and feels very soft against the skin. This unique silk needs to be seen and touched. It has wonderful drape and is perfect for garments that are a bit unstructured such as cropped sweaters, open-front cardigans and drapey tunics. Soft Silk is luxurious because of the silk quality. It provides warmth in winter and cooling on a hot summer day. The yarn is therefore also ideal for light summer sweaters and scarves. Due to the high proportion of silk glue in the bourette silk, it is said to have anti-inflammatory benefits while also soothing the skin. Soft Silk is dyed with AZO free and Oeko-Tex certified dyes, this means that the dye process is gentle to the environment.

Please note: Due to the nature of this silk and the deep, saturated colors, there may be excess dye in some of the colors. We highly recommend to rinse your yarn in cold water before use; finish with a rinse of a mixture of water and vinegar.
