Silky Merino
Malabrigo Silky Merino is a delightfully drapey yarn that combines 51% silk and 49% merino into a single-ply DK yarn that is absolutely a treat to knit with and a joy to wear. The combination is soft, smooth, and itch-free even on the most sensitive skin and is absolutely wonderful for garments, scarves, and other next-to-your-skin items. The silk content gives the yarn a bit more weight and drape than a pure merino, and adds a slight sheen that is absolutely gorgeous. The fibers take dye a little differently, adding extra depth and richness to the wide selection of semi-solid, variegated and watercolor-dyed colorways available.

Many colors do not have dye lots, and those that do, are dyed in lots of 10. Any project requiring more than 10 skeins will require more than one dye lot.
Note about Hand Dyed Yarns – While we love the exquisite colors available in hand dyed yarns, there can be significant variations from skein to skein. Please follow these guidelines to ensure success:
- Purchase enough yarn to complete your project, allowing for a bit of overage, just in case!
- Not all differences in skeins are obvious when comparing skeins.
- For projects that require 2 or more skeins, we highly recommend blending your skeins by using 2 balls at once, alternating every couple of rows from each ball. This should blend any variations between skeins.
