Jeweler’s Type Center Punch: Lightweight, pencil size with aluminum body, pocket clip and hardened steel point. 5/16 inch diameter x 5-1/2 inches long. This spring loaded tool is excellent for creating a dimple in wood, plastic and metal to keep your drill bit from wandering. Also used for starting wood screws, marking, perforating, embossing, simulating rivets and counter sinking miniature nails. Just set variable pressure adjustment screw for light, medium or heavy stroke, press point against surface and the self-contained hammer mechanism automatically releases.
