Bio Shetland GOTS
Bio Shetland is a GOTS certified, rustic wool in the Shetland-style for all those who love to knit with many colors in a nicely, woolly yarn. This yarn is called Shetland -style because it is not from the Shetland Islands because there are no GOTS certified farms on Shetland. But Bio Shetland performs exactly like real Shetland Wool and, with it’s many colors, is perfect for your Fair Isle project.
The raw wool for Bio Shetland comes from mulesing-free farms in South America and is spun and dyed in Turkey. GOTS stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard and is an extremely high level of certification that looks at every aspect of yarn production from ecological as well as social impacts.
